Did you know you can access your GLOBUG account information anytime via text? Most services have a charge per use which is charged to your GLOBUG account rather than to your mobile phone bill. Here's how:
To get your current balance, text BAL followed by a space and your top-up card number to GBUG (4284)
Cost: 50¢ per request
To get your current debt balance, text DEBT followed by a space and your top-up card number to GBUG (4284)
Cost: 50¢ per request
To request your power be reconnected, text RECO followed by a space and your top-up card number to GBUG (4284)
You will receive a text asking you to confirm it is safe to reconnect your power. To confirm that it is safe, text Y to the same number.
You will receive a confirmation message that your reconnection request has been received and that your power will be reconnected as soon as possible.
Cost: Free
In addition to the above services, you are also able to request regular GLOBUG alerts that can be sent either via text or email. The alerts available are:
Your current GLOBUG account balance is sent to you every morning.
Cost for text alert: 30¢ per text
Cost for email alert: Free
An alert is sent in the morning if your balance is below $10 notifying you of your balance and GLOBUG status (glow colour).
If your GLOBUG is glowing orange, your alert will request you top up sometime that day.
If your GLOBUG is glowing red, your alert will inform you that your power is due to be cut off at noon, and recommends you top up immediately.
Cost for text alert: 50¢ per text
Cost for email alert: Free
